If I’m not painting in bright whimsical colours, you’ll quite likely find me painting palm trees! I love them.
Sitting under them, watching my kids play in amongst them in our back yard, sketching them, painting them.
And I love trying emulate that “vintage”, monochrome, sketch style from the botanical drawings of the 19th century. They remind me of visits to Raffles Hotel, Singapore, sipping Singapore Slings while throwing peanut shells on the floor in The Long Bar.
A simple style that packs a punch on your wall.
