"Parisian Garden In Blue"

This piece comes framed & ready to hang in a beautiful natural oak frame.
My Parisian Garden series was inspired by a beautiful French woman I met on Hamilton Island in The Whitsundays, a couple of years ago. We crossed paths, uninterestingly, at the marina laundry facilities! She was wearing a stunning sundress in the colours that ended up on my paper in this series. I had to stop and ask her where her dress was from. She answered me with a sunny smile & an exquisite French accent. “From my home town, Paris” she kindly replied. We chatted about our island adventures for a moment, then she walked away as though she was floating in a vibrant garden of her own wearing. I ran to our boat and committed the colour pallet to my journal. All of my Parisian Garden pieces grew from this chance meeting. I remember her, her outfit & accent vividly to this day.
I decided to paint a couple of smaller pieces for this series. For whatever reason on this day I was drawn to the soft blues of Forget-Me-Nots and Hydrangeas.

After having a run on requests for blue hydrangea pieces I had the urge to paint a blue Parisian Garden piece.
