I set out to try my hand at a watercolour abstract piece. My understanding of true abstract art is ensuring your work does not try to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality. (As defined on the Tate Galleries, of the UK, website). I felt that 1stly I dont have the experince to claim this as an abstract, at this stage, and 2ndly, my floral doodles could be argued as either abstract or not. So I decided to call it “This is Not An Abstract”. It’s also a little acknowledgement to myself not to take it all too seriously. ;)
